
Finland's ambassador to Israel, Per-Mikael Engberg, presented his credentials to President Shimon Peres at a ceremonious reception held in Jerusalem on 17 September 2007.
Ambassador Engberg is a career diplomat who has worked for the Finnish Foreign Service since 1974. His previous postings include Finland's missions in San Francisco, Belgrade, Bonn, Vienna and Stockholm. Immediately prior to coming to Tel Aviv Ambassador Engberg served as head of the Protocol Department at the Finnish Foreign Ministry.
